Disciple
Heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God is near you now.’
Luke 10:9 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20 |
Jesus’ group of 72 disciples went into the cities and they healed the sick. But that wasn't all - they also told them the Kingdom of God was near. They were pointing people to Jesus. We need to love people while remembering that part of that love is telling people about Jesus - making disciples. The Good News of Jesus is that He loves us and that He died for us so we can be in relationship with Him and grow into His image. He told us to love and to make disciples.
