Vision:
Our goal is to see SE Portland transformed through the power of Jesus Christ. Jesus declared His mission in Luke 4 when He said He came to preach the Gospel to the poor, to proclaim release to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord. Our vision is to carry on His mission. The result? Life transformation. When John the Baptist sent to Jesus asking if He was the Expected One Jesus answered by telling them to report back to John the evidence. He said, well, go tell Him what you see: the blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor are hearing the Gospel. When people encounter Christ, lives are forever changed. That is what we are all about, seeing God work in people's hearts and lives.
Mission:
So, how do we go about doing this? Discipleship. Compassion. Unity. (Matthew 28:19, John 17:20-23, Luke 7:20-22)

Mission:
So, how do we go about doing this? Discipleship. Compassion. Unity. (Matthew 28:19, John 17:20-23, Luke 7:20-22)
- Discipleship is where true transformation happens. We cannot be transformed in Christ if we do not get to know Him.
- Compassion is what the transformed life looks like. Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love God and to love our neighbor.
- Unity is something Jesus prayed for. He knew a united body is a strong and effective body. As we grow in our Christ-likeness we strive to grow stronger as a unified body of believers.
Values:
- The Word of God - we cannot accomplish our task without His Word. It is living and active. In His Word we find encouragement and discipline.
- Prayer - The power in what we do comes from the prayers we pray. We must spend time with God if we are going to be used by God.
- Holiness - We firmly believe that in this life we can be set free from the bondage of sin. We can live a life of freedom. Transformation happens today.
- Unity - We are part of something bigger than ourselves. We can only be effective if we are together.
- Compassion - Jesus showed us what it meant to live for Him by being compassionate. We must do the same and love our neighbor as ourselves.
- Families - The bedrock of our society and community is our families. We want to equip our families to be the strongest families possible.
Beliefs:
- In one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- The Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
- Human beings are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.
- The finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
- The atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
- That believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- The Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
- Our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
- We are a part of the global Body of Christ, more specifically, a part of the Church of the Nazarene (www.nazarene.org).
