I am originally from West Virginia and God has brought me all the way to the other side of the country (the better side??). I was born in Maryland and moved around a few times with my dad being in the Navy and finally settled in West Virginia. I graduated from Antietam Bible College in 2005 with a B.A. in pastoral studies. I graduated from Nazarene Theological Seminary in 2007 with a Masters in Intercultural Studies and finished my Master of Divinity at NNU. My wife (Des) and I met just before I graduated from college and were married in 2006. Immediately after graduating seminary we began our life in full-time ministry in Prineville, OR and then found our way to Portland in 2014.
I love being in ministry and seeing people's lives transformed by the power of Christ. The love and grace of God never ceases to amaze me. One of the highlights of ministry, for me, is being a part of someone's journey with Christ. To watch as they grow closer and closer to God is a tremendous joy and privilege.
When I am not at the church or out in the community I love spending time with my wife and kids, Lydia and Wesley. They certainly know how to keep me busy and have some fun!

Some of my favorite things to do in my free time are: learning to play new songs on my guitar, bike riding, ping pong, basketball, camping, and occasional Netflix binge watching! I also love playing with my kids kids and spending time with my wife. We love trying new ethnic restaurants and recipes - my wife's a great cook!
For many years here at Central, I was strictly an acoustic guitar player. In 2013 I had the opportunity to lead worship while we were looking for a new music pastor. Since that time I have grown into, and embraced the role as worship leader, which God has called me to.
My favorite part about leading worship music, whether on stage Sunday mornings or in a smaller group setting, is seeing people let go of everything and just praise God with all their hearts. Those are truly special moments and it’s a great honor for me to lead them. As a musician first, I also really enjoy the connection I feel when playing with other musicians.
Favorite Verse: Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

My family and I started attending Central in 1995. My husband, Dale, and I have been married since 1987. I have 2 boys, Nathan and Nick, and 2 girls, Noe and Nicole. I love working with children! My goal is to provide a clean, safe, fun, age-appropriate place for children to learn about Jesus. My favorite verse is Joshua 1:9 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
